Marie Rose Sawadogo
Marie Rose Sawadogo, Since March 2019, Marie Rose Sawadogo has served as ADF-RDA’s 3rd Vice President. She was previously a Member of Parliament from 2015 to 2020. She has many years of experience working with UN agencies and international NGOs in a range of countries and programs such as women’s empowerment and rights, gender equality, and SGBV. She has worked as a Community Services Coordinator for Care Canada’s humanitarian and emergency program for Sudanese refugees in Chad, as an Assistant Country Director-Program Interim in Chad, and as a Technical Support Consultant on reproductive health and HIV/AIDS at the national, regional, and international levels for the UNAIDS Technical Support Facility for West-Central Africa.
She has also worked as a technical advisor for a community participation program in nine countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo, as part of the Canadian West Africa Project to Combat Aids; as a technical officer for the WHO Global Program on AIDS in Niger; and as a volunteer for UNICEF and UNFPA. As a government official, she worked her way up the ranks to become a member of the Burkina Faso Welfare Ministry’s staff.

The network’s mission is to support and empower political parties, organisations, networks, think tanks and individuals, to grow their support, to increase their influence on politics and implement policies of good governance when in government.
In partnership with our members and strategic partners, the network advocates for values of freedom and the individual choice of association across the continent by:
• Championing Liberal policy solutions to Africa’s challenges;
• Capacitating Liberal Democratic member parties with innovative skills, necessary to win elections and lead governments;
Providing a platform for like-minded advocates of good governance, to network and share experience, skills and ideas;
All members of the network are bound by statutory obligations affirming allegiance to ensure the freedoms and dignity of all people, through establishing political and civil rights, upholding the rule of law, supporting democratic governance based on free and fair elections with peaceful transition, ensuring religious, gender and minority rights, fighting corruption and supporting economic freedom, regional integration and free trade opportunities, like the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
